Kelly Pratt-Kreidich

Hi All! I’m Kelly, and I have been a professional dance photographer since around 2012. I am based in St. Louis, MO but I travel often to work with dancers of all levels (from toddlers all the way up to Principal dancers at American Ballet Theatre and San Fransisco Ballet). If I could photograph dancers every day for the rest of my life, I would! I love creating interesting shapes and collaborating with artists to make beautiful images. I have always loved dance, particularly ballet and musical theater, but I have appreciation for all genres. I came into formal dance training later in life than many, but became absolutely obsessed! I knew I would never be a professional dancer, but I wanted to be a part of the dance world.

My style of working with dancers is collaborative. I want to hear what makes you excited and I want to help you reach your goals. Dance photography doesn’t have to be stressful! I will do my best to coach dancers through positions with calm and direct corrections and positive reinforcement.

I work with professional dance companies, commercial brands, schools and individual dancers to create dance imagery to be remembered.

You may best know me from Dancers & Dogs! My husband, Ian, and I started Dancers & Dogs on a whim in 2017, and it went viral in March of 2018. Since then, we have published a book, and have been featured in People Magazine, USA Today, the London Evening Standard, Bored Panda, and all of the major dance publications. I was honored to give a Ted Talk on Dancers & Dogs in Dec. 2021.

I have also served as the official photographer for the St. Louis Ballet since 2014.
