Big Sur California | Travel

In the midst of our very busy Fall of 2014, we were not able to share pictures from our trip to Big Sur, California.  We took a few days off at the end of the summer to enjoy some peace and quiet with mother nature.  We started out our trip in San Jose, stopping, of course, for a bit of In N’ Out on our way.  We drove south, stopping in Monterey for a night, before driving along the Pacific Coast Highway.  We visited Pebble Beach, Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park, Julia Pfeiffer State Park, Limkiln State Park and Sand Dollar Beach.  We camped for two nights at the Treebones Resort.  You can go glamping in a very comfy yurt, or like us, you can set up a tent.

When Ian staked out his spot and set up his tripod, a bunch of people arrived and decided that this must be THE spot to catch the sunset.

This was Limekiln State Park, and the Falls Trail was our absolute favorite trail of the trip.  This is a small park, and the trails are fairly short (but medium difficulty).  It’s definitely worth a visit.
